Ncell — the first private sector GSM mobile operator — is still the number one company in the mobile segment. It has more than 14 million GSM subscribers. It was initially known as MERO MOBILE, and later in the then year 2010 rebranded into the NCELL. On 12 April 2016, Ncell has officially become a part of Axiata Group Berhad, a Malaysian telecommunications group with its rebranding on 16 August 2016.

Nepal Doorsanchar Company Ltd. usually know as Nepal Telecom (NTC) is government owned telecom industry in Nepal. The government of Nepal has more than 90% of share in NTC.
Nepal telecom provides the fixed-line, ISDN, ADSL internet, GSM mobile telephone and so many other services. Recently Nepal telecom launched 4G wireless technology. Smart Telecom Private Limited (STPL) is the third largest and fastest growing mobile operator of Nepal with a subscriber base of around 1.3 Million. The company was established on July 1, 2008, and has been providing telecom services over VSAT and other available technologies. 5. CG Telecom
STM Telecom Company mainly operates in VSAT Technology.CG Telecom, following the unit’s acquisition of an 80% stake in rural telecom service provider STM Telecom‚ owned by US-based STM Communications Service Inc. STM, which operates under the brand name Gramintel, has been providing telecoms services to around 5,500 subscribers across 628 village development committees (VDCs) in 52 districts. It got License type Rural Telecommunication Service from NTA.
